| History:
Jade was born to gypsy parents in 1608. She was an intelligent
child and learned the arts of majick and healing quickly. She was fluent in
many dialects and languages, amazing her parents and others with how quickly
she picked these up. She also had the "gift", she was an empath and psychic,
blessed with visions. Because her parents loved her deeply they made a
decision to not force her to wed until she was ready. When Jade was 15 she
had a vision that led her to leave her nomadic life and venture into the
white mans world to learn their medicines and ways. In England she adopted a
new identity and passed herself off as a Frenchwoman who had come there to
study medicine. Within a few years she had obtained a job in a local
hospital as a nurse.
In 1625, she met a man called Damien Blackstone who fascinated her and made
her young heart leap for joy. She had many visions that indicated that he
was her life mate, her life partner, her soulmate. They spent many happy
hours together which made her soul and spirit sing. She began to make plans
to return to her family for their blessings. Suddenly in 1626 though, her
heart was crushed, Damien told her she could not see him any longer, that he
wasn't "good" for her and she was to lead a better and happy life without
him. Her pride would not allow her to beg him to reconsider, nor to tell him
of her visions.
One evening after pulling a later shift at the hospital, she was walking
home. As she turned down an alleyway, she was attacked by an assailant from
the shadows.She struggled and screamed, feeling the fiery hot touch of his
blade over and over. As her vision began to fade into blackness she caught a
glimpse of Damien as he pulled the attacker away and caught her as she
crumpled to the ground. The last thing she remembers of the attack was
Damien's pain filled voice as he said "I'm sorry"
Her next memory was waking in Damien's home and him explaining what he had
done, to keep her with him. Her eyes reflected the love she felt for him as
she vowed to never leave his side. They wed and lived a quiet existence,
moving every few years to avoid causing suspicion as everyone else grew
older and they did not. Jade finished her training as a doctor and vowed to
help others to live a better life. In 2001, she and Damien moved to an
island he had purchased and began to build a home for those like themselves,
not considered "normal". She now lives her life with her husband and has but
one regret...she cannot bear a child, so she treasures Jesse, her adopted
